hank you to filamentive for sending me their tester pack to sample. Over the next couple of weeks I am going to print the same two prints and photograph under similar conditions.
The second filament to be sampled is their PLA Matte – Moss Grey
Both the vase and fish were printed at 210oC on a glass bed at 60oC with pritt stick to aid adhesion. Both were printed just with a skirt.
This is the first time that I have printed with a matte PLA and the results are somewhat surprising. Both the vase and fish were printed at 0.2mm layer height but with both prints you can not see any layers in the z-axis. As well as a matte style visual appearance the prints also feel different to the touch with almost a chalky feel.
The overall print quality of both prints is good and the fish had good bed adhesion with the intricate parts with out using a raft.
