As part of my new Computer lab at school I have been very lucky to be able to also get a class set of Raspberry Pi 400s.  This is a significant investment and the plan is to use these in a planned and significant way as part of Key Stage 3 teaching this year.  Having used the RPi in the classroom and in a club setting I was very keen to have a consistent configuration which would work for all students depending on the use.

  • Desktop image which includes the school logo and a very simple AUP message.  The students agree to follow the whole school AUP by logging into the RPi.
  • Changed the default password to Pi and included a note about this on the login screen.
  • Removed all programs that would not be used by students
  • Desktop icon size increased in size
